...due to our geographical location, the concept of snowy fields was negotiable...
Yesterday's high temperature here in Central Texas was 81 degrees, as some reported.
It snowed last night and this morning.
I'm still waiting for the word that Texas has been closed for the day...
Go ahead, marvel at my power.

Carry On!
Monday, the temps here near KC hit 60 degrees. Yesterday, we got 4" of snow. Check the pics... http://crucis-court.blogspot.com/2008/12/snow.html
Here in SA, record-high 85 degrees yesterday. Got down to 31 overnight, and there was snow--which didn't stick--in the far north part of the city. It's surreal, even for Texas.
I was teaching in a company school in SA during the early '80s when the city got 1 1/2" of snow. Those of us from the North got quite a bit of fun watching folks speed down the off ramps of I-410 and then slide through the light at the end of the ramp.
We declared snow in Texas was God's method for population control. :-)
Snow in SA is too rare, Crucis. It's the rain (slick streets, covered with oil that suddenly isn't dry anymore) that's truly population control. Or, perhaps, snow's control for the natives & rain for the yankees, 'cause they never realize how bad it is til they go sliding.
Colorado tow truck drivers love Texan skiers!
