Ah Yes...

The day has come again when I spend half of the day setting the clocks in my cars' radios, stove, micro, clocks, alarms, watches... and the other half trying to set the VCR (yup, still got one). I usually spend the whole day looking at the time and thinking, 'what time is - oh... hold on, did I set that one, yet?'

What always makes it interesting (aside from periodically discovering various time pieces throughout the next few days n' weeks and the inevitable one in April or May), is finally figuring out that I've reset the time on a few items that have already automatically switched over... again, and that I've set a few clocks twice.

A small price to pay, all in all, for the extra hour of sleep.

That other one, that cold & mean bastard who steals an hour? Well, that's just cruel.

Nice to know I'm not the only person still using a VCR (have both VHS AND Beta).
As to the DST gig, I do what my mom used to do that drove my dad nuts...I change all but one clock (and the wristwatch) during the day!
When next day's "up an at 'em" hits (that would be the cats yammering mess-call), I change my watch and the clock...mission accomplished.

Even got one clock that has some SATCOM uplink to "atomic time" that auto-resets no matter HOW I try to muck it up...Love THAT!

Recommend every person buy a few of yourself a ton of hassle...LOL!

Carry On.

Good point Murph! I did two falls out of three with the VCR this morning and I 'think' I won :-) Also, I changed out all the smoke alarm and flashlight batteries too! Way I look at it, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, especially in the middle of the night when I need a light

I have only a laptop & cell phone. Both reset themselves.

I think we should "fall back" both times. I detest "springing forward". Evil. Just plain evil.

Anyone able to set the time on a VCR has my deepest admiration!

Spring's only cretin is DST.

This year, I just BARELY remembered to change the clocks the night before. Good thing, too. When I got to work (on time, thank you very much), my boss was at the desk, saying she had wondered the night before whether I'd remember DST.

And then she asked what I wanted for breakfast. It's like she KNEW I'd choose sleep over breakfast that day!

Totally unrelated to this post, but I just wanted to let you know you have ONE month and THREE weeks until Christmas. That means one month, 2 weeks and 6 shopping days are left.

You can thank me later.
